Will the Flashscan V2 scan the 1996-97 Vortec PCM's. I know they can not be tuned. I searched, but everything I have found is about tuning.
Thanks,
Steve

I tried it on the 96-97 Vortec's and the Scanner would not connect at all...

Nope, EFILive only supports the 98-00 Vortec black box PCMs. Sorry, if you've already spent the $$ on a V2, yes it sucks but spend another $50 and do a LS1 0411 PCM swap so you can run a standard 512kb LS1 PCM. Access to COS, 2/3Bar FI applications, N2O, and better driveability await! (Geez, I sound like an advertisement)

The 411 swap has always been the plan in the end. Right now the truck has a driveability problem that I was hoping to fix before swapping ECM's.
Thanks for the feedback,

Gotcha, whats the issue? Even though you might not be able to read the tune, you might be able to scan generic PIDs if you try connecting as a LS1 controller. Just try a few and see if it pulls up reasonable data streams.
