    Default CO3 2 bar on 2006 silverado... questions

    Ok just got done with turbo install on 2006 silverado. Now since there were no COS for 2006 I took a 2005 OS 12592618 off holdens site to match the motor and trans. Full flashed it, and did the CO3 install. All went in great. Made all my changes and was getting ready to start tuning. Starts fine, take off down the street and give it some gas and it pops a U0107 code and falls into reduced power mode.. What would be causing this, has to be in the tune somewhere truck ran fine with the 06 OS.

    Any ideas?

    soon as i come past 32 % throttle it kicks in......

    Boosted tunes are not my area of expertise ... the following are merely suggestions.

    There are no out of range parameters in the tune - that’s good. The U0107 DTC is loss of communications with the TAC module - guessing you’re going into “limp” mode.

    Take a look at the values in C6101 - ETC predicted airflow - below 44% TP the predicted airflow falls off greatly as RPM increases. Try increasing the values in the 25% to 44% TP in the 2000 to 5000 RPM range.

    Redundant question, but you did install a 2 bar MAP sensor ?

    With the engine not running, and the ignition key in the “run” position, are you getting MAP readings equal (or close) to your local barometric pressure ?

    Thanks Taz, yes 2 bar map was installed and programed correct. Just covering you base's, not a dumb question.

    I will play with the C6101 table. I had already increased the whole table bye 40%.
    I will adjust the tables more below 44% and see what happens.

    Ok no go. Still does work.

    Now if i full flash back to the 06 OS it works just fine. But I can't do a CO3 OS with an 06.. :( Anyone else ran into this issue? I really need a 2 bar OS for this truck going to be pushing 15psi.

    Trying to eliminate variables … try a full flash with the 2005 OEM OS (the one you used to create the COS) - just to see if the 2005 OEM OS works OK in your truck.

    The reason I ask this is because 2003 to 2005 APP / TAC modules are mutually compatible, as are the 2006 to 2007 APP / TAC modules. Want to make sure the problem isn’t a 2005 tune communicating with a 2006 APP / TAC.

    Ok, i will give that try today. Somehow i think its the 05 OS thats not communicating with the 06 APP/TAC module.

    I'll post back later.

    No go. 05 OS doesn't work.. What are the chances of us getting some COS for the 06-07 pcm's? Or better question why did they stop at 05 for COS?

    OK … that answers that question. To use the 2005 based COS in your 2006 truck you will require a 2003 to 2005 APP (throttle pedal) and TAC module (under hood drivers’ side firewall area) and the short harness from the APP to the TAC. If memory serves, in 2003 to 2005 this harness was a ten pin connector (using only 9 pins), while the 2006 to 2007 harness used a 6 pin connector.

    Believe the connector from the TAC to the engine wiring harness / cruise / power / IPC used the same 16 pin connector from 2003 to 2007 - not sure if the pinouts are the same - you will need to check.

    Not sure if your current 2006 throttle body (TB) will work with a 2005 APP / TAC or not - have never mixed and matched parts to this extent. The 2003 to 2005 TB used 2 connectors - one for the TPS (6 pin), and one for the TB servomotor (2 pin). The 2006 to 2007 TB used a single 8 pin connector.

    Yikes all that just to get a COS... Well i'll have to do some digging and see what i can do. Thanks for all the help taz!

    Sure could use a COS for 06-07 pcm's hint hint..
