    Default question on pid's

i have selected my 12 pids in the scan software and saved them as autovepid, but when i load the pid file, 9 of them are being showed with a red x thru them.what am i doing wrong?also if i have only 1 air/fuel sensor, what bank should i install it on if i have a v-8 engine,i assume bank #1.
i hope these questions dont sound stupid.
i have been reading for 2 months now.i am more confussed now than ever.i figure the best thing for me to do is save my origional image and just get in there and try to learn.

Have you connected to the vehicle and verified PID's ?
It's all good until it goes "Bang"

If they are crossed out after validating all PIDS, go ahead and start to log.
This happens sometimes and they will become active once recording begins.

    thanks for the replies,
the pids look to be right now,but what about the wbo2?i have a 2002 chevy truck with an 8.1.has daul converters.the origional 02 bung is pretty close to the exhust manifold.is it ok to install the wb02 there?or should i weld a new bung further down?i see no way of putting it in a place to get a reading off both banks, unless i go to the tailpipe.what's recommended?
