If it means anything the idle is perfectly smooth at stock 800 rpm's but I like to change my idle speed every couple of months

What WBO2 are you using, why is closed loop disabled and are you using these injectors?

I have a mere 6.3L and with these injectors my VE values are half what yours are.

Start with the WBO2, make sure it's working right.

Yea, those are some pretty large VE Table values. I'm surprised your lean...

I'm with Mr. Prick on double-checking the wideband. Are you Serial or Analog connection on your wideband?

If you do a log, of course include your wideband AFR or EQ, an AFRBEN (see AUTOVE) and if possible these 3 Pids:

    1. GM.CYLAIR.DMA (TAB TUNE)
    2. GM.DYNCYLAIR.DMA (TAB TUNE)
    3. GM.IBPW1

    Don't exceed 24 channels!

Looking at your Tune, you should be Open-Loop SD. A good way to check your SD Tune is to put it in closed-loop like Mr. Prick stated. B3801 to Enable, and B4205 to stock values. If your NB's are operating normally, a good SD Tune should Trim quite nicely.

Thanks for all the help guys! This is MUCH needed info! I had no idea I'd run onto so much trouble with SD before I tried this :(

I'm going to do everything suggested starting with the CL and WB check.

    Thumbs up

As soon as I enabled B3801 and changed B4205 back to stock my lean idle was fixed immediately! WB and narrowband showing proper fueling at idle

I then changed my VE back to what it was before I started messing with the SD stuff and the car seems to like the change; which meant pulling a bunch of fuel out lol.

I didn't get a chance to do a proper long log because my Wife had prior plans for today. Although She was very understanding when I was uploading and observing the changes 10 minutes or so

    You guys ABSOFREAKINGLUTELY rock!

Oh! Had to change my idle back to stock due to the dirty looks one of my neighbors was giving me earlier.

It's truly amazing the decibel difference between 800 and 1000 rpms.

    Thanks Dragon..

Closed-Loop is highly under-rated. Mr. Prick has specialized in CLSD for years. If your ever interested in the CALC.VET, let us know. Otherwise CLSD can be a superb tune for both street and strip.

I Idle at 800 Rpm..I can't imagine what your cam sounds like! You need to post up a Vid with sound..How many degrees of Overlap?.

You guys really are massively impressive in your knowledge of tuning the LSX motors/pcm's. And magnanimously helpful to everyone.

I know you guys hear it a lot; but still not enough

Oh! BTW; I have an AEM WB with digital gauge in the a pillar.

I'll post the idle clip I sent my buddy . . . He turned it into a ringtone Don't know how much overlap; but it SOUNDS like a L O T lol!
