Default 2000 Tahoe 5.3 speedlimiter - transmission progrmming needed also?

When removing / raising the speedlimiter, do i have to change something in the transmission programming (3->4 shifting for example) or does the car drive fine when just raising the speedlimiter?

    Default

If the 3-4 PT upshift curve flattens out at the same MPH as the speed limiter was set to, then you can raise the curve (i.e. the high TP portion), but check that the 3rd gear RPM (shown on the status bar at bottom of tunetool window) is not over the rev limit.
