Someone explain to me what we have on the 2000-02 Silverado V8s, an ECM or PCM?? I hear these two names thrown around so much that im starting to wonder if I have both. I know what each acronym stands for but which one do we have...officially!?

You'll have a PCM in your vehicle.
PCM=Powertrain Control Module. Controls both the engine and transmission.
ECM=Engine Control Module.
TCM=Transmission Control Module.
