'08 4.3 van - did not see C0035 but TechII did?

Wondering about this. An '08 Express van with a 4.3 had the yellow ABS light on. I scanned it and it showed no codes in any of the modules. Later I put the TechII on it and it had a current C0035 syptom 2 (left front wheel speed sensor low reference).
I thought we can see codes in all modules. I have seen even history and pending chassis codes in my Silverado with EFIlive I think??

In the V7 scantool did you have Edit->Properties->Advanced->Check/Clear DTCs for All Modules checked...?

I think so because in the LS1 controllers I always see C, B and U codes also. Unless this setting varies with different controllers Joe.
