    Default Tuning stock corvette?

I just bought a 99 c5 that has catback, gutted cats and intake. I'm throwing it on the dyno tomorrow to get a baseline and do a little tuning before I start modding. I'm used to tuning my 402 Firebird and turbo truck so I'm not sure what you can really do with something that is stock. Should I just work on AF and timing a little or is there anything else that helps? I'm sure the gains won't be much but I'm thinking these things run pretty rich from the factory. Thanks

    As a suggestion,

Have a look at the ZO6 tune files from holdencrazy.com
There will be parameters from these files that may help you.

Though bear in mind you have the LS1 intake and injectors.

I have looked through a lot of tunes and the 99's already have extremely agressive timing tables. The stock table is set to 28 degrees at wot except for a dip at peak torque. I'm going to play with that a little on the dyno but I think the af is going to be the best bet.

    Thanks

Check that fuel pressure is stable thru out RPM range.

Get the VE and MAF tables BEN corrected (i.e. measured AFR = commanded AFR); then get PE table dialed in for best TQ and HP.

If it has the A4, then also tune shift feel, set:
    - shift shift time tables to 0.2s,
    - increase shift pressure tables by 25%,
    - decrease shift torque reduction tables by 25-50%.
