Yes MAP is vacuum or pressure as the case may be. In most cases the vacuum will increase as the idle increases.
You might get the best vacuum at 1500 RPM that doesn't necessarily mean you want to idle there.
I was thinking about this as a best lean idle vs. Vacuum like used to tune a carbed motor. I understand that with any higher rpm there will be more MAP but does anyone still use that theory now in any way with our FI motors to get a crisper throttle response.
I usually don't change idle settings that much if it's stock or bolt-ons.
If the cam has been changed it's required.Throttle response should
be pretty good being fuel injected.
