    Default 2002 Avalanche unsuported tune PID's

    OS=12209203
    cal= 12208941
    def file= 12209203.calz

    I'm trying to use any of the tune PID's and they are showing as unsupported.
    cylair_dma
    dyncylair_dma
    dynairtmp_dma

    How do I get these to work? I was reading and the 2002 should be able to use these PID's

    Lee,

    Those pids do not exist in that OS/calibration (that a different 2002 than what you were reading about).

    If you have a 512kB PCM, then maybe you could switch to OS 12212156...

    e.g. from www/holdencrazy.com:

    Download 2002 Silverado Truck Automatic 5.3 Litre LM7 12212156

    I don't know if it's compatible with your PCM, but I imagine it is.

    OS12209203 is a 2002 DBW OS used in Escalades / Avalanche / Tahoe / Yukon. These were a one year only item - the forerunner to the switch over to DBW on most trucks in 2003. If you are running the original 2002 DBW setup (TB / TAC / APP) in the vehicle, that is the only OS that will work.

    I’m assuming there is limited support for that particular OS as it was not widely used.

    Hmmm interesting, wonder if there is another OS that would work with the TB/TAC/APP setup that is supported. If not, maybe EFILive can add the DMA PIDs in for this OS.

    OS12209203 is the only 2002 truck DBW OS that I have encountered. I believe it is the one and only OS used in those specific vehicles in 2002. The 2002 TB /TAC / APP are not compatible with the 2003 and later DBW tunes.

    Somewhat of an “orphan” setup …

    I may have spoken too soon … checked my database. Show OS12216125 as a POSSIBLE 2002 truck DBW OS. Don’t have confirmation - have never encountered that particular OS.

    If there is support for OS12216125 - it might be worth a try. Guessing it was a limited run OS and probably won’t have any more support than the currently used OS.

    So 12212156 would not be compatible due to DBW/DBC differences...

    12216125 may or may not have those pids defined.

    WOW, I seem to always get the bastard child. Thanks for your input.

    Would going a custom OS solve the problem? Is there a custom OS for this?

    If there is a COS, it is based on the GM OS... i.e. it would have the same pids (or lack of).

    No COS for that...

    Anyone else know of a 02 OS that is DBW we could try here?
