Hi Mick welcome to the forum.

Did you double check your work: PLX-SM-AFR-Serial-upgrade

    Mick,

Ok, so you can read the AFR from the PLX on your V2 LCD, right...?

    What year/model/vehicle do you have...?

If it uses the LS1B (EFILive terminlogy) then have a read thru this:
    A-New-Twist-on-CALC.-VE-Table..Computing-the-Entire-VE-Table
(it shows what pids you need and what you have to do)

On your V2 you have to enable the Serial/Digital pids.

Did you install the latest V7 and V8 software from HERE...?
V8 includes firmware 2.07.09, what firmware version is your V2 at...?
(if your V2 firmware is earlier than that, then use EFILive Explorer to flash in 2.07.09).

See these threads (look at the V8 S&T software pictorials):

Your email says its a 1998 Suburban with a 383 and Whipple... can you read the PCM to a file and post it here.

    Hi Mick,

With the supercharger, it might be good to run a Custom Operating System (COS) which has boost timing/fuel tables, but you would have to perform the 411 PCM swap to be able to run the COS.

Otherwise, you can still run the Whipple on your current stock OS, it's just that the tables end at 105kPa (you need them to go to at least 165kPa for 10 psi boost), so you would be tuning by compromising on the VE/AFR/timng tables, but there are many people running SC/TC on the stock PCM running the stock OS, so it's doable.

i think i doing ok with my tune on my std engine i just like some more hr on it before i put the 383 sc in it , so is autove the best way to go with the tunning , or go the road runner , and do u know what the best air fuel ratio is for lpg (gas) i look around and there say 17.1 and 15.5 so im not sure and im not sure if im doing the auto ve tune that good too may did some help ..

    thanks

    Hi Mick,

Oh ok you already have a 411 PCM with a COS, good job

Which COS id number do you have...?

So then just continue doing AutoVE...

You can use either of these BEN pids:
    - CALC.BEN1 which is defined as {EXT.WO2AFR1}/{GM.AFR},
    - CALC.WO2BEN which is defined as {GM.EQIVRATIO}*{EXT.WO2LAM1} from the CALC.VET tutorial,

I like the second one better since it uses entities that do not depend on stoich AFR (which is important when stoich AFR is different than 14.7).

I don't know what the stoich AFR for LPG is... we will need to find this out, and enter this into B3601 before tuning.

You will need two BEN maps, one for Main VE table, the other for Boost VE table (the 105kPa columns of each will be identical)... the Boost VE table simply continues on where the Main VE table ends.

Make sure that a MAF DTC shows up, this indicates the PCM has failed over to the VE table.

Doing AutoVE with a COS: do not set any cells in B3647 to EQR 1.00 since these will cause the PCM to trim using STFT's.

Do Auto VE say upto 4000 rpm, correct both VE tables, and make an educated guestimate of what the VE tables look like above 4000 rpm, and then repeat for above 4000 rpm (this may be tricky, may need some dyno time, be prepared ahead of time will all the pids, maps, settings, etc...).
