Default Help finding a COS (Electronic Traction Control)

I have been working with a known tuner to get my latest project running. It’s a 2002 Tahoe and I'm putting in a 408ci with a TVS2300 on top. I am trying to go with a 2 bar MAP and a COS from EFI Live. So far my tuner hasn't had any luck finding an OS to work. I don't know if it is because of the ETC or the drive by wire but the tunes he has been sending me to try have zero throttle response. The throttle body doesn’t open at all. Any help?
The OS I’m running now is: 12216125
    Calibration: 12212431
    PCM Service Number:12200411
    .Tun attached

Hmmm you might have the one oddball 02 OS that uses DBW...is that your stock OS #? There arent any COSs for that OS Im afraid, the reason you arent getting any throttle response is probably because your tuner is trying to use different OSs to find one that works. Unfortunately you have an 02 which means there arent many other DBW options out there, maybe we can get lucky...otherwise upgrading to a 03 1MB PCM, throttle body, TAC, and pedal might be an option...or downgrading to a cable throttle body.

Anyone have a suggestion what 512kb LS1 OS is compatible with 12216125?

I think you are exactly right. My OS was for the first Flex Fuel series trucks, plus it's an '02 which I guess was kind of a cross over year for the DBW TB.
I'm still trying to get a grasp on all thise tuning lingo but couldn't I just keep the OS I have, forget the 2 bar MAP and get tuned? I will be pushing up to 15psi, that's why I wanted to go 2 bar but I know others have gone without it...

I would not run 15 psi with a 1 bar tune, its risky.
I'm really surprised 02020003 won't work it works on the 02 corvette
those are DBW. Check out EFI Connection, Mike the owner has spent
the last three years working on DBW setups.

I think it comes down to the truck and Vette DBW setups are different...you'd have to go with a Vette throttle body and pedal to run the Vette OS. Might be a cheaper way than swapping to an 03-08 1MB PCM though...

I probably wouldnt use a 1Bar tune and try to run 15psi, if one little thing is off there goes your motor.

    Hello 1SlowHoe,

My apologies for the delay in jumping in here .... busy week. There are only 3 DBW OS for the 512 Kb PCM that I have found. As indicated above, DBW was not widely used in 2002 truck applications - it was more of a transitional process toward the roll out of DBW in the 2003 truck platform.

The only OS that is probably compatible with your truck, and that has COS support is 12209203 - used in 2002 Escalades with the LQ9 6.0 L engine. You would have to manually configure the 6.0 L tune to the values / parameters of your 5.3 L engine - this will take a few hours, but in the end you should have a viable tune that is compatible with a COS upgrade.

    Regards,
    Taz

    Hello L31Sleeper,

I realize it's a 408 - but the parts combination was not stated. Had assumed it was using the 5.3 L TB / injectors / and perhaps MAF. If so, those 5.3 L parameters will need to be used, and the displacement set to 408 CI.

You are welcome, by the way ... hopefully it works out.

    Regards,
    Taz

Sorry that OS (12209203) would work but COS 1 is the only one available for it.
It's not going to be a matter of paying a different tuner. You are going to have to
switch to a cable throttle or get a corvette TAC and Throttle pedal.
