Default Got the 2-step limiter working today

For the longest time, I've wanted a 2-step for launching the truck without having a trans brake.

Got it figured out with the RPM limiters.

We have it launching at 2100 RPM's and 25 psi each launch.

Good job! Wish there was merit in me asking how you did it...but sadly I am not ready for that yet...none the less, good work.

    It's real easy.

Once you open the tune file, go to the Engine Protection tab, open up the limiters and it's the first limiter (RPM in neutral).

This also limits the RPM's while the truck is stationary and you're on the brake.

All you need to do is figure out what RPM's make the boost you want to launch at and set that limiter to that RPM.

In my case, 2100 RPM's made 25 psi, which is what I normally launch at with the drag radials on it.

    Rich,

You're saying the limiter for RPM in neutral also limits RPM in gear at 0 mph?

As long as you're on the brake and stationary, yes.

When you click on the box for that parameter, look up at the description. It states while in neutral or stationary.

I was wondering if it would work, so while I was at the track yesterday I pulled out to the back, put in gear and wound it up until I hit 25 psi.

I set that limiter to 2100, went down to the lanes, pulled up, stood on the brake and wound it up.

Stopped at 2100 and was holding boost. Sounded just like a gas motor coming up on the 2-step.

    Okay, skip this for now.....

It works well limiting it on the line but it appears it's also limiting the top end.

If you're running stock RPM's then you probably wont notice it, but if you have the RPM's turned up, it's defueling.
