Question 2000 model 09381344 os upgrade to any 01 and newer os

can i just do a full flash to a stock os such as 12225074, or 12202088, etc? I need to rid myself of 09381344 please. then will i be able to do my custom os upgrade. or what is the best way?

    sorry normally a diesel guy.

    Thanks in advance,
    Ben

Is it a LS1 PCM or a Black Box Vortec PCM? If LS1 PCM then yes, just grab an 02 OS file and full flash it. What car/truck is this for?

    Hello Ben,

OS 09381344 is a 2000 model year OS used in trucks, Camaros, and Corvettes.

OS 12225074 is Holden based OS - used in several model years. This OS is incompatible with the IPC, Park / Neutral system, and gear position indicator used in your truck.

OS 12202088 is a 2001 model year OS used in Camaros, Corvettes, S10s, and some trucks. You would need to source a tune from a Sierra / Silverado using this OS to retain component functionality in your truck.

I agree with Erik - a 2002 OS maybe the best course of action. OS 12212156 has a great deal of support, and was widely used in the 2002 model year - including Sierra / Silverado.

    Regards,
    Taz

2002 OS all the way for a 2 Bar setup as COS3 and COS5 are available for 12212156.

TuneFileDepot (previously known as HoldenCrazy) has an 02 Silverado 6.0L LQ4 4L80E 12212156 stock file. Start by using this and going through both tunes (existing 00 tune and new 02 tune) side by side to see if there are any differences. Copy them from your old tune to the new one and save it. Then Full Flash it into your PCM and make sure it runs correctly. After you have your truck running like before with the 02 OS, then full flash COS3/5 in, cal flash the 02 OS (non 2Bar) in, then read out the tune. Should give you a COS3/5 OS with the 02 calibrations for your truck. Modify this new file and cal-flash the changes.

Just barely beat you Ben, but I updated my previous post. Has the correct file you need, and NO do NOT try to use a Vette file.

Its ok, we were typing at the same time plus I went back and added the correct download link.

Hope it works for ya, since it already has the 80E calibration it shouldnt take too much work to get it running then upgrade to a COS!
