MAJOR problems setting up new software and wideband, please help

I recently bought a new wideband controller the techedge 29j i was having trouble trying to get it to function with my software V2 7.5 so i have donloaded the new updates now it wont recognise the flashscan unit. please help as im am a tunning novice

Did you install both V7 and V8 from here: Pre-Release-Update-July-27-2011


On your V2, what is the bootbock version and the firmware version...?

Hi joecar thanks for the quick reply i downloaded both v8 and v7.5 i just unistalled v8 to try to get back to my old software which worked fine but when i go to add license it tell me the software for my flashscan is not compatable where do i find the details you want. cheers

bootblock version is 2.06.02 firmware 2.06.12

You probably need to upgrade the firmware. See Start => Programs => Efilive => V8 => Documents => Upgrading Firmwware

This is from your V2 LCD...?


Start the V8 EFILive Explorer program, goto the Firmware tab and post a screenshot of that.


Have a slow/careful read of this doc (as Ira said above): Start => Programs => Efilive => V8 => Documents => Upgrading Firmware
