Cool 2000 to 2002 OS to COS sanity check questions

I currently run a 12205612 OS. I need to go to a custom OS for a 2bar tune. CLSD I am thinking. I am maxing out my maf at 4200 rpm and 65% thottle. Now for the questions:

    1. I need to change year of OS, so I am guessing 12212156 OS needs to be used AFTER I table by table swap my tune into the 12212156 OS? Any shortcuts here??

    2. How do I decide if cos3 or 5 is right for me?

    4. I am thinking at this point I can follow the tutorial for upgrading to a cos ?? What did I miss?

    5. Since I am currently running a tune someone built me long ago, I assume it would be smart to do the autove before starting this so my fuel will be close or is that just double work since its not to far off now?

    1. Yes. No shortcuts unless your 2002 file is stock.

    2. COS5 also has nitrous tables and alpha-N (TP) VE table in case you ever need these.

    4. If your car runs on the 2002 file at least as good as it ran on the 2000 file, then yes you can go ahead and upgrade, remember to edit the OOR tables and set B3647 to suitable values (i.e. so you can idle).

    5. Yes, you could do this first since your already running fairly good on the 2002 file. You could do AutoVE, but also see the Calc.VET and Calc.MAFT tutorials (which can be tailored) (BTW: AutoVE is a special case of Calc.MAFT).

I am on the 2000 os now. Far from stock tune. Running 9 lbs of boost.

Ok, first get it running on the 2002 12212156 file, it should run the same...

open two instances of the tunetool, and use copy-with-labels and paste-with-labels, work thru each table that is different, go slow be accurate...

remember to save the 2002 file before flashing.

I would work on tuning AFTER all the table swaps and the COS upgrade.
If you AutoVE now where do you put the boosted data ??

There is a PDF for 1,2,3 but for 5 it's pretty much a long thread on here.
