I have an L92 with a cam that may be shot. Its being pulled this week so I will see if its rebuildable.
Sadly, the L92 block appears to not be available so I can buy another used L92 - 9K miles on the motor (All aluminum 6.2)and swap my cam or
for pretty much the same price, get the LSX which is an Iron block 6.2 (about 120 lbs more).
PS, before my L92 blew it was putting down 430HP to the rear wheel with a 4 speed heavy duty tranny 4L70E.
The GM site numbers for the LSX are 450HP. I can reuse all my front accessory and intake parts + in both cases sell the L92 heads.
Anyone have any insight on which option would end up being best or general thoughts on the LSX?
