Default Problems with logging external voltage

I have V2 V7.5.6. I am having trouble getting my external voltage to log in my scan software. It has worked before, the calculations are correct in the sae generic file. I used a volt meter to check voltage at the orange connector at the interface and I have 5 volts there with engine not running. So I know the LM1 is sending the voltage, and I know the interface is getting the voltage, but when I log the PID's EXT.AD1 the voltage just sits there at zero.

Here is the calculations I have in the sae_generic file:

    # Innovate LM-1 WBO2
    # ========================
    *CLC-00-928
    V 0.0 5.0 .1 "{EXT.AD1}"
    AFR 10.0 20.0 .1 "({EXT.AD1}*2)+10"
    *CLC-00-929
    factor 0.0 2.0 .1 "{CALC.AFR_LM11.AFR}/{GM.AFR}"
    *CLC-00-930
    V 0.0 5.0 .1 "{EXT.AD2}"
    AFR 10.0 20.0 .1 "({EXT.AD2}*2)+10"
    *CLC-00-931
    factor 0.0 2.0 .1 "{CALC.AFR_LM12.AFR}/{GM.AFR}"

I have the firmware set in the LM1 to be 0 volts = 10AFR and 5 volts = 20AFR....which matches the sae_generic file.

As I said, the last time I tuned everything it was fine and but now it's not. I plan to get the serial cable soon but I simply need to get this tune done ASAP.

    Please help!

    Thanks - Josh

You need to update to the latest software and firmware versions. Please see these knowledgebase articles:
    - Software updates
    - Firmware updates (see the bottom section and documentation)

OK I am having a lot of trouble getting this updated. I uninstalled V7.5 and downloaded the new ones (7.5 & 8.2) from here: http://www.efilive.com/index.php?opt...=48&Itemid=124

I installed both and am trying to follow the "Upgrade firmware instructions". When using the keypad on the interface and going into the flashscan info screen, the firmware says:

    VER: 2.04.72
    Date: 26 APR 2008

    Boot Block
    Ver: 2.04.10
    Date: 10 NOV 2006

So I presume I need to upgrade to the 2.05.08 bootblock right? So I go into the option on the interface that says "upgrade bootblock" and I hit YES and the interface beeps at me and wont let me past that screen. If I go into the "EFILive firmware programmer" and check the status of the interface, it says:

The attached device has previously been upgraded to boot block V2.05.xx or greater.

It then goes on to say to use EFILive explorer to update it. So I open the explorer and it won't find the interface. I can't type in my serial or license numbers either. I'm so freaking lost, these instructions are so confusing. Please help!

Yup, you need to do the update to 2.05.x first and then all the way up to 2.07.x bootblock and firmware.

never mind...i'm an idiot. I was thinking the F3 was a softkey instead of actually using the YES or NO buttons....

Now I cant get the main screen on the interface to pop up when plugged into PC. EFILive explorer wont communicate with interface unless it's in dead poll mode. When it does communicate it says that the bootblock version is 2.05.08 and firmware is 2.07.14. Where do I go from here? This firmware bootblock stuff is really making me nuts....

If you click on Firmware Updates and look at the bottom of the page, you will see this:
Upgrading from 2.04.x Bootblock and Firmware

More details and direction regarding Bootblock and Firmware updating is included in the Upgrading FlashScan.pdf document located
    in your C:\Program Files\EFILive\V8\Documents folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\EFILive\V8\Documents on 64 bit systems).

Specifically this document describes the process if upgrading from the legacy 2.04.x Bootblock and Firmware versions.
You want to carefully read and understand the document Upgrading FlashScan.pdf especially the parts about dead poll mode.
