    Default P1516 and P2101 on boosted E38

What is the fix for P1516 and P2101 on a boosted E38???? Its a Procharged LS3 in an old car with a standalone harness.

They ate probably just the ETC vs. actual air flow rational checks. I don't have EFILive with me ATM. But look for ETC settings under system.

Is this an 09+? Or 08 and earlier? Those DTC's point to a throttle position error. i.e. boosted is pushing the throttle blade around. P1516 is the ETC controller and P2101 is the main processor ETC control. 09's seem more susceptible. Would be interested in how tuners are fixing this.

Its an 08 PCM I think I will check today when I'm out tuning. Its on a brand new crate motor from GM...maybe 25 miles total on it now.

Which crate? Does it have a gold or an alloy coloured throttle blade?

Back in July we added the diagnostic parameters for P2101, if you update to the latest release HERE you should see them. C0807 & C0808.

I was still running an older version and couldn't see those tables. I was out of town with no internet so I couldn't get online to check. Just did the update and have the tables now, that's exactly what I was looking for, thanks.

Good add! Do these parameters also fix up any P1516 errors? Also see those from time to time without a blower.

Anything else added in the last 3 months or so for these "legacy" E38 non diesel controllers?

Not sure on the P1516 DTC, maybe not because that is a TAC specific DTC, but who knows. Throttle DTC's tend to have a flow through that trips a few DTC's, and some DTC's cover several out of range situations.
The last three months, wow, lucky I keep a change log. This is since June.

    • Added some fuel flow factor tables for FSCM control (all ECM's).
    • Added some purge control tables.
    • Fixed address errors for H0157 & H0158 for some 2010/2011 E38 OS's.
    • Added some more idle tables.
    • Changed B7965 option to be modifiable.
    • Fixed address error for table B1848 on some late model OS's.
    • Added thresholds for P2101.
    • Added Low Oil Pressure warning controls.

That is just new additions or fixes, also of course in that lot is newly added OS support. Sorry, but I don't remember the specifics on the generic groups additions.

    Cheers,
    Ross

    P.S - E38 being legacy =
