How can base pulse width go down, but duty cycle go up with increased rpm?
How can base pulse width go down, but duty cycle go up with increased rpm?
DC[%] = IPW[ms] * rpm / 1200
If rpm increases much more than IPW decreases, then the DC goes up...
for example:
- say IPW is 10 ms @ 1200 rpm: DC = 10 * 1200 / 1200 = 10%
- say IPW is 5 ms @ 4800 rpm: DC = 5 * 4800 / 1200 = 20%
Thanks for the reply Joe. I knew it would be you with the answer. I can only speak for myself when I say you are a tremendous resource here and once again, thank you.
