    Question DVT too hot ??

While data logging a 411 I got the message: DVT too hot. (red banner)

Locked me out of making any changes.

    What does this mean?
    Why did it happen?

Perhaps you had the fans disabled, in which case EFILive monitors the engine temps and disables the DVT's once it gets too hot.

I *may* have disabled the fans in the DVT because there were no fans hooked up to the PCM outputs. The truck was running an independent electric fan and the temps (ECT) did not go over 170 F.

-Will go back and enable the fans to see what it does.

    Thanks for the tip.

Unfortunately the only reason the check is in there is from my own personal experience when playing around many years ago when I had an LS1. I think I was altering spark at idle and didn't realise the fans were off, when steam starts coming from under the hood you get the message real fast the fans aren't running
