    Default MAF g/s

Hey guys i am hopping someone can shed some light.
    I own a VX Commodore V6.
When i am reading the G/S (GRAMS PER SECOND) for the maf on the dashboard the max G/S goes to 300.
But i go over this value easily.

Now i need to know the max g/s the MAF sensor can take before maxing out.
I am thinking that there something wrong with the MAF maybe.
When i am at Idle the g/s is around 65-75g/s.
