Default 2010 VE Commodore with T43 and big(ish) HorsePower??

    Hey guys,

Fairly new to the forum on here...plenty of reading to make my head hurt though!

    I have a question....

Anyone out there with a fairly new T43 transmission (I believe my OS is 24256125) that is running big horsepower?

I'm putting out about 500-550rwhp through a bog stock T43. The tune has of course been played with to accommodate this increase in power, as well as a 2800 TCE convertor.

I don't have many, or any, issues when driving around town at part throttle.

The problems are at WOT when I'm running at the drag strip.

The box struggles to shift from 1st to 2nd and then 2nd to 3rd. Once it finds 3rd it pulls strong and hard and shifts into 4th with no problems and holds all the way to the line.

I've attached the tune as well as some runs from the track...

Any thoughts? Comments? Questions? Appreciate the feedback and help...

Since those runs, I believe I have set up the Torque Convertor so that it doesn't lock up at all under WOT.

Coincidentally I have a very similar problem only at wot the car seems to hunt for the first 2 gear changes and it seems like its getting confused and can't select the gear or the engine bumps the limiter and at times I think this does happen for me. I am having trouble with BBL can't seem to log the data I require to help determine the fault.

What is your limiter set to in your ecm tune?
If you find a solution please share

    Thanks

Your log shows 600Nm at 6500rpm which is around 550 crank HP, so if you are doing 550 at the rear wheels there is a torque mismatch.

Are you FI with 4-5 lb of boost? The MAP shows at around 130kpa.

Timing is being pulled for the shift but torque is not dropping so it is reducing throttle as well. Be worthwhile logging clutch pressures too.

This motor has some serious herbs.

Yeah, forgot to mention...Here are the engine mods:

    L77 engine, 6 litre
    222/227 @ 115 cam
Harrop HTV1900 blower (Believe it's running at about 7-8psi, but there is belt slip...and spiking)
Valve springs, Morel link bar lifters, pushrods....all those good bits!
    OTR CAI

What are the PIDs for clutch pressure? I think I might have added them since doing those runs...

My e38 tune could be causing my issues as my
    Max spark retard and
Power reduction timing were not set right

I am yet to confirm that this is the cause.
maybe if you post your e38 tune someone may look over it to see if you have any issues?

I did notice you are hitting the limiter 6500rpm like my car was and there is no torque reduction before the shift also like mine

My issues are deeper than yours but some things to note in your run1 at calder

Your 1-2 change is happening too late and your hitting limiter you are set at 50kph wot
Try adjusting wot rpm and wot shift speeds down until it stops hitting limiter it needs both to qualify for a shift.
it seems that at frame 396 your rpm is flaring quickly not sure but maybe slipping trans?

OK, so what you are saying is that for a gear to change successfully, it both needs to exceed the RPM and KPH setting?

    Example, RPM = 6200 and KPH = 35KPH.

So, once the rpm exceeds 6200 AND the speed is greater than 35kmh....the gear will change?
