I just received my kit from efilive and wondered if anyone has a tune for vx ls1 they could send me?

Just need a starting point to compare from my standard one to start learning

    Thanks in advance!

Hey, thanks for reply. I'm in Perth Australia.

I got something from http://www.tunefiledepot.com/ I just wasn't real enthusiastic about it, that's all....

I looked at it compared to Weathermanshawns's http://forum.efilive.com/showthread....l=1#post129525

May as well not be the same engine.

Perhaps I'm wrong, but it looks nothing like each other.

Best way is to do a LOT of reading and then follow a few of the tutorials and tune it yourself, from the base tune you already have.

If your car is bolt-on only, it will not be too difficult to do.

    cheers

One of the best ways to get an idea,

of what you need to do is go to download an HSV version of your car.

If you have a 2001 VX1-A4 then get hold of the 2001 Clubsport R8-A4 tune file from here:- http://www.tunefiledepot.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=4&Ite mid=3&Manufacturer=2&VehicleType=P&Stock=Y

....which should have the same Operating Sytem (12202088) as your car and compare the two side-by-side to note the differences.
The Middle East VX1-A4 is also an alternative option & is fairly close to the HSV file, just remember it has a 240kph speed-limiter.

Then a good first start is to re-flash your car with the R8 tune as is (stock) and see how the car feels before you start going down your own road, as there's a lot of wrong turns along the way.
