    Question E40-E38-E67 B5101 Calc Error?

    Ok...I'm reviewing some logs and comparing my tunes and noticed something odd. When I use the Scan/Log highlighting feature and open up an E40 File, the B5101 Spark numbers (grams/sec) highlight in one area, but when I open up and E38/E67 file the B5101 Spark numbers are maxed ou (oz/sec). Doing the grams to oz calculations shows these numbers are WAY off and should be in the .02 area. What's up?

    Hello Jessie,

    I would be helpful if both of the tables were posted in the same units - most prefer g/second. You can change the display in the Scan Tool to metric (g) from the current Imperial (oz).

    Is one log from an E40 and another from an E38 ? If you are trying to reference one log, to two different controllers - the outcome will be unreliable.

    Regards,

    When looking at scan logs/maps and calibration tables, always pay attention to the units

    Now what about the T43 Shift pressures...I'm not seeing an adjustment to change those from Nm to Ft-Lbs. Did I overlook that adjustment section?

    Hello Jessie,

    The Shift Pressure data units will display as either Imperial (PSI) or Metric (kPa) ... the row and column units will remain Metric - regardless of how you attempt to configure the display.

    Thank you for noting that, Taz. But, now as I am looking at this one area in my log and checking it against the B5107, it is staying at 80 degrees celsius AND farenheiht (row). My log is showing it as a IAT Farenheit number, so it seems that B5107 is mislabeled. No matter what, it will keep the row/degrees in Imperial numbers while changing out the column/air volume in Imperial or Metric. And then when Imperial, its calculations seem to be off regardless as it's always showing a max column highlight.

    Go Edit->Configure Display Units, locate table B5107, rightclick and select Row or Column, and for each of those choose the Units (F or C);

    then click Ok and exit.

    Hello Jessie,

    Starting to jump around a bit in this thread ... some of the T43 tables don't allow for row and column unit changes.

    B5107 in the E67 does ... follow Joecar's instructions above.
