Default AFR Commanded... Where else other than PE???

Im trying to sort my AFR commanded. Im looking at the tables that control it and cant understand other than the PE section and B3647.

I have on my log, afr figures im unable to identify where its comanding it... it seems to kick in over 20% TP.

    Any help on direction?

    Thanks

    Hi Antony,

( this will be easier if you use EQR units instead of AFR )

tables B3617 and B3641 add on top of B3618... do these account for the commanded EQR you see...?

I see my problem. my B3647 table is not the same in my SD tune and my VE tune...

Question is should I use my stock B3647 table or the VE tune version? in PE mode its only gonna overide it as its richer??

The stock B3647 (as in what B3605 contained before the COS) is not suitable (B3605 was MAP x ECT; B3647 is MAP x RPM).

The VE tune version of B3647 is good... just make sure to avoid cells having value 1.00 until you have finished tuning

    [ in COS, any cells in B3647 that are EQR 1.00 will cause STFT trimming to stoich;

so set those 1.00 cells to 0.99 or 1.01 to avoid trimming while tuning ]

    CL: B3618 will command fuel.

OL: the richer of B3647 and B3618 will command fuel.

Set the fueling units to EQR as this will make understanding easier and helps to avoid mistakes...

    [ if you want, make a post-it note cheat-sheet converting a few EQR's to AFR ]

Let me correct that. my table is as in the COS upgrade document. This is mainly all at 1EQR up to 90kpa. Should this bee more like the VE version instead??? Then tweek as I see lack of power between PE and normal mode switching?

I like having EQR 1 all the way upto 80kPa, then having EQR rising up sharply.

Either way, PE should enable when load increases, so you will be covered.

    V7.1 - PE-SD-2BAR-COS5.ctd

Can you please sense check the PE section.

I have set it to aim for 12.4 on WOT. I need to look at the PE Hot kick in so that the values I have added work at bringing it down to 11.5.

But is my KPA kick in at 35 with my TPS at 65% on low rpm going to force PE NOT to kick in low down???

    Thanks

It looks like you should be running a commanded 12.4 AFR. I would fix the out of range cells A0015 and valet speed settings A0012 and A0013. If your ECT or IAT gets too hot, maybe that is where the additional fueling is coming from. Check in your logs for a skewed sensor.
