Are you using the latest software and firmware available here?

Got a similar problem... Stone Cold the E40 invlvtmp_dma is showing 143C.. It then "warms up" to 255C then goes to -253c and then continues to get hotter, with minus values (-240, -200 etc)

It looks as if the "starting value" is 100 or so degree's too high..

Latest firmware, bootstrap and software installed...

It looks like a problem with the E40 IVT calibration.

    I have a log that starts at 146'C and rises to 256'C ( 110' difference )
    Then from -256'C it rises to about 110'C ( 146' difference )

    It's a bit weird.....

That looks like an unsigned integer being interpreted as a signed integer.

Joe is spot on, that is exactly the problem. I guess that goes to show how often that PID has been logged in the last 5 years
We'll get that fixed for the next update.

Started logging this and the values appear to be correct but negative when reviewed in V7.

Does the PID value show correctly in the V8 scan tool software?
Can you please send me the *.efi log file that shows the PID displaying wrong? (send to paul@efilive.com)
