I was running through my tune last night and got thinking about the considerably advanced timing from stock. As I looked through the correction tables, it became apparent that, given the right conditions (e.g. cold ect) the computer would push the timing WELL beyond safe (although it is capped in the timing limiting table). In some cases it will add as much as 25 degrees. IMHO, Since most of us run close to the limit, this could cause real problems.
The next step was how to correct this? Here's what I did...
Using Excel, compare the stock timing with your current timing. Take the difference and, using 'paste and subtract' in EFI live, copy it to your correction tables.
This SHOULD keep the correction in line with stock, while allowing you to advance your base timing.
If I am way off base here, please let me know...
