Default 7.5 stops reponding when flashing or reading

I have a V2, Win 7, the latest versions of the software, and recent firmware. Anytime I try to read or flash in 7.5 the software stops responding, and i have to close it and unplug it then restart 7.5. This is happening with any of the duramax ecms I try. I can tune and save in 7.5 but Im having to use v8 to flash and read. any suggestions?

There are two things you can try.

    1. Reinstall the latest V7 software but after installing it do not use the "check for new updates" option. Some customers are reporting strange behavior after the "check for new updates" option has been used.

    and/or

    2. Run the EFILive USB Manager software (Start->All Programs->EFILive->V8->Tool->USB Manager) and make sure you have the the old USB driver version installed. I.e. V2.0.2.04.
