Default 4L80E Shifting Soft and Slow (tune attached)

I finally got the truck together and trying to get the trans to shift firmer on the 1-2 shift. It is shifting slow and soft, and wanted to try to firm it up. It is 3200 Precision Industries stall and I have a Transgo HD-2 Shift Kit installed. I am running COS5.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

    Hi LC,

    First off, fix these:

    Hello Lastcall,

Didn't go through your tune - just setup the base shift pressures - should spill your coffee now. Make sure to fix the out of range warnings - result of the COS upgrade.

I agree with Taz, your shift pressure tables are low.

Also, it seems to me that your B0101 VE table is under-reporting airmass by a large amount (from 5% to 25% in most cells)...

this causes the PCM to under-calculate engine torque which causes it to under-calculate line pressure.

    Thanks for the help!!!

I am going to flash this tune in now... Which PID's should/can I log to show the shift times/slippage? I cleaned up the out of range cells in the custom OS.

As far as the VE table goes - The commanded and actual AFR are extremely close at WOT, so I would think the VE table is accurate. Am I missing something? Also, the sloppy shifts occur at WOT.

Loaded the tune and logged some of the trans parameters (see attached). Also fixed the out of range cells. BUT, the trans still shifted slow...

What areas are you referring to in the VE table? At WOT, I believe it using the boost ve table, but if I increase that, it will get more rich because the pcm thinks it's more airflow, right? I am open to any and all suggestions, just trying to understand this....

What engine do you have and what torque/power are you expecting it to make...?

Has your non-boost VE table been corrected...?
    Has your MAF been corrected...?
If you see wideband BEN equal to 1.00+/-0.01 then your VE/MAF tables would be ok, and the problem would lie with the shift kit and/or the transmission.

    Log these:
    TRQENG
    TFMPRS
    DYNCYLAIR
    DYNAIR

I made 545/570 rear wheel on the dyno before removing the maf and going 2 bar speed density with a 4" intake.... LQ4 at 8# with supporting mods....

Yes, non boost ve table is close - less than 3% in almost all cells in the VE table.
I am not running a MAF

I will log the PID's above and attach the scans.

I am still working on this... unfortunately.

I have copied an 04 force motor table which has helped with the 1-2 shift, but it is still slow. I have the shift times "zerod" out, but I thought there was a place in the tune where I can enable/disable adaptive shifting... Does anyone what table that is?

Also, what does table D1107 do? Mine is set to 205 KPA across the board.

You enable adaptive shifts by setting the shift times tables D1108,9,10 to non-zero... as an experiment, try setting these to 0.2s (yes even with your shift kit installed).
