Hi, I recently purchased an ALDL (GM OBD1) cable with 16 pin connector, USB http://www.aldlcable.com/sc/details.asp?item=aldlobd2u
I bought this for my 1995 Chevrolet Cavalier LS, 2.2 liter. I understand that although my 1995 Cavalier LS has a 16 pin OBD2 connector, the actual system for my car is OBD1. I puchased the cable as the "check engine" light has come on. My situation is even more difficult as I live in London UK and can not go to a local GM dealership as they don't work on U.S. spec cars. The problem I have run into after the puchase of this cable is that I can not find software to download which will read the car's data. I have Windows 7 which may be an issue with some of the software out there on the internet. I basicly have a cable which is useless to me now after paying to have it shipped from the US while also paying import charges. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thank you, David
