    Default Problems with v2 liscense

    Ok when I hook up my V2 I can go through its menu & it shows to have 1 liscense available. When I bring it up in the tune software none of the vins show up. I went ahead & purchased two additional vins & niether activation codes work. The tune software reads the serial Number of the V2, so its communicating. I need to get this working. ASAP. Please help.

    Which V7/V8 software build version do you have installed...?

    Which V2 firmware version/date...?

    There was an issue quite a while back where due to a FlashScan device running firmware version 2.07.05 or later and having older EFILive software installed. The issue occurred due to a licensing structure change that was introduced in 2.07.05 to accommodate the upcoming Cummins release. When you are not using the latest software when you query licenses in the V7.5 Tune Tool it returns none. This would also effect flashing as it is not able to read the allocated licenses either.

    The solution should be simple. Just download and install the latest V7.5 and V8 software, and update the FlashScan V2 device firmware. There are more details in these knowledgebase articles:
