    Default going Custom OS

I have a 2001 trans am and i'm still using the normal OS : 12202088

    my VIN # is 2G2FV22G312135527

on page 3/4 of the tutorial it is talking about finding EFILives custom OS that matches "your" PCM's current OS....

now i see it describes 01 02 and 03.. but on page 4 i see my number
12202088 and 012500xx for the EFILive custom OS

how/where or what is this number and where can i find it? lol.

I downloaded the custom OS for 2001 from the download page here. what is this 012500xx number?

The XX identifies the custom OS you want to install. On page 3 of the tutorial it gives you the feature set of each Custom Operating System

i.e. 01 Dual Spark Speed Density Enabled.

So in your case if you wanted that COS you'd load from the custom bins 01250001 replacing the xx with 01 or 02 or 03 depending on the COS you wanted.

Read the whole tutorial it will help.

i had not unzipped the COS to see that they contain multiple files iwth 01, 02, and 03 yet. That tutorial is a little confusing on that. I understand now; and i have already read through it twice. Still sitting here and reading to understand. I'm at least doing my own reading, lol. I'm trying...hahaha

thanks man, pm sent. I'm going to first get my SD tune right so that my car is running right and I have something GOOD to go back to; I will probably go to COS this weekend after a good tune is finished.
