Default Reading tunes written with other tuners?

Just wondering if a tuned ECM (unlocked) written with hp tuners can be read just like a stock tune.

Looking to get a base tune for an ls1 with an ms4 and prc 2.5 heads, Texas speed has a good base tune for it but it would suck to spend $250 and not be able to read an hp tune.

Yes, if the ECM is not locked and the tune is not an HPT custom OS.

Excellent that's what I figured but it would suck to spend the money then not be able to tweak from that.

Another quick question, if the ECM is licensed to a v2 already tuning with hpt won't change the license, correct?
