I had to snatch the motor out.

Normally, whenever I do a motor I have the machine shop leave the plugs out of the oil galleys so I can flush everything until I'm satisfied that it's spotless.

Well, the one time I get the motor back with the freeze plugs in it there was a bunch of iron from the magnaflux in the oil galley and it tore up the the rear main bearing and the #6 rod bearing.

It was my fault. I know better than to trust the machine shop, even though they get paid to clean the block. Good thing though is all it did was tear up those two bearings.

But, right now I tossing in some monotherms and once they get here I'll get the rotating assembly rebalanced and put it back together. I'm gonna start working on it after the holidays are over, I've just been too busy to do anything with it. Jan and early Feb are the good times to work on my personal stuff....the holidays are over and everyone is broke until they get taxes, so it's slow enough to do my own work.
