    Default 6.0 ls1 austin healey dies when you plug in the maf

    I start off first by saying i'm new to this and still learning. We have a 1955 austin healy that we have a 6.0 ls1 truck engine in with a professional products intake and a 5 pin maf. The computer and harness came from street and perfomance and when i called them they say they accidently wrote the tune for a 3 pin maf. is there a way to tune with the v2 and change it back to a 5 pin calibration or does the os need to be switched. the os in it right now is 09381344. The car runs as long as the maf is unplugged but as soon as you plug it in it dies. I'm trying to get to the point where i can start datalogging but i know something is wrong so i want to fix that first.

    The calibration should run either (3 or 5 pin) OEM MAF if properly configured. Many adapter harnesses out there to allow switching between the two types. I have never used a Professional Products MAF - potentially part of the problem. Did it come with calibration data of any sort ?

    OS09381344 is a 2000 MY OS - it would not have been my first choice.

    Post your tune ... some of us will take a look.

    The MAF table can be edited (and will probably need to be given your MAF ducting is non-stock).

    The tune you posted is a slightly modified 2000 Camaro LS1 5.7L 4L60 tune.

    Are you using a 4L60 transmission ?

    Is your wiring harness pinned for a Camaro or a Truck calibration ?

    Are you using the 2000 6.0L truck injectors ?

    Are you using the 2000 6.0L truck MAF (5 pin) ?

    using 4l60 trans

    i believe the harness is for a truck. not sure how you tell. it has the correct harness for the maf (5pin) and no oil pressure sensor.

    the injectors are corvette ls1

    the maf is a 5 pin not sure if its a truck or not.

    How you tell is to get the PCM pinouts for both a 1999 to 2002 Camaro and a 1999 to 2002 Truck. Then look for any differences in the pinouts. If there are differences locate that component (for purposes of example - the oxygen sensor output) - then use a digital multimeter to confirm the output wire goes to the desired PCM pin.

    There may not be any significant differences - don't recall - generally use truck harnesses.

    Once you have eliminated any wiring issues (component mis-pinned etc) - then you can move on to troubleshooting the tune itself.

    I check every pin and every wire of any harness I didn't build myself.

    ok found pin out diagrams and checked them and everything seems to be good. red and blue connectors on the ecm and appers to be a truck harness. now i need to trouble shoot the tune. runs great with the maf unhooked but as soon as you plug itin it starts chugging and puffing out black smoke then dies. I've tried to datalog and adjust the hz of the maf but it made no difference. the injector flow rate is correct for the size injectors. everything looks good just goods bad once the maf is plugged back in
