    Default 6l90 to 6l80?

I have a customer with a 2010 6.0 VVT (vin K) from a HD truck with a 6l90. We only support the 6l80 transmission in our swaps. I can't find any tunes for the 6.0 and the 6l80. We are running a modified 6.2/6l80 tune which works ok but the engine performance is not 100%.

I would like to run the correct OS and cal for the 6.0, is it possible with the 6l80?

    Thanks

The only tunes that I see that would have the 6L and the 6L80E are the cars. 2007 Vette (LS2 and 6L80E) and the 08-09 G8's (L76 and 6L80E). Neither of those setups though have VVT.

Thanks for the reply. That is my dilemma, I could see disabling AFM or making other small changes in a tune, but it must have VVT.

Not sure why you can't run the LY6 / L96 (6.0L) & 6L90 calibrations. The 2010 5.3L truck engines (LC9) came with the 6L80 - and were VVT / AFM / Flex Fuel. Try using that as a base if you must - importing the VVE and MAF parameters from the LY6 / L96.

Right, I have a new 2010 ECM sitting here. I was debating flashing it with the stock LY6/6l90 tune and giving it a shot; or, starting with a *.*/6l80 tune and bringing the changes in. I didn't think about the LC9, your right in 10' they went to VVT on the 5.3, if it has the same OS I could bring the changes in.

If there is a good chance the LY6/6l90 tune will work I would rather go that route. But what about the T43 in the 6l80, what tune would we run with the 6l90 ECM tune? The current T43 tune is from a 10' 6.2 Silverado 6l80.

Part of my problem is this customer is across the country.

    Thanks Taz
