    Default INJPDELTA_DMA measurable range in N/A and boosted E67

    I have a N/A E67 OS(12610013) and was comparing it with a boosted E67 from a CTS-V OS(12639469).
    In relation to B4001 or any table that uses INJPDELTA_DMA my N/A E67 only measures down to 400 kpa for INJPDELTA_DMA.
    Now it's obvious that this is because an N/A can't possibly see less than 400 kpa because the most it can see in manifold pressure is atmospheric.
    BUT with the CTS-V it could in theory go all the way down to the bottom of the measurable scale of 128 kpa as it's a boosted engine and the manifold pressure can be many times that of atmospheric.

    So a few questions I have that are related to this are a follows:
    1. What is the minimum measured INJPDELTA_DMA someone has logged on a factory boosted E67? Lower then 400 kpa?
    2. What is the correct scaling for B4001 for E67 12610013? Mine shows 128-640 @ 16 kpa resolution and the 12639469 is 128-720 @ 20 kpa resolution
    3. Can the OS I have be calibrated in such a way as to enable INJPDELTA_DMA to measure below 400 kpa?
    4. Can the E67 series have negative values in B1204? The obvious answer is yes, but I haven't personally seen one and wanted to make sure it was acceptable..
    - In that one could just set B1201 to 4.00 ms and leave EVERYTHING below 4.00 ms to be defined in B1204.
    - OR use B1204 to bend B1201 from the knee to 0 in the area where small pulse is not linear.

    Check the maximum allowed flowrate:
    - 12610013: B4001 range 128-640 kPa by 16 kPa -> maximum flowrate is 8 g/s
    - 12639469: B4001 range 128-720 kPa by 20 kPa -> maximum flowrate is 16 g/s

    Yes, boost is INJDELTA going below 400 kPa (approx 100 kPa per bar or boost).

    Post your tune file.

    Duh! Drawing myself a picture.. What is the Maximum flowrate value you can put in the value fields for B4001? According to EFILive it's 7.999_ for OS 12610013 and 15.9999_ for OS 12639469. As stated numerous times 8 g/s = 16 kPa and 16 g/s = 20 kPa. For some reason (It gets really moronic when you think about it) I didn't connect the Units: Minimum: and Maximum: for each table was where the 8 g/s value was coming from. Yet I was able to comprehend that I could use negative values as stated in question 4 as it's shown to go from -256 to +256. For some reason I was thinking that was all arbitrary.

    So with the larger injectors I'm running now I would really like to be able to take advantage of the full range of B4001 so when I hit boost the injectors will adjust for the real Delta P across the injectors based on the Injector Flow Base and not just flat line at 400 kpa.

    I have seen tunes that do everything from hack the MAF table to editing B0148 Open loop fuel load multiplier.

    I know what people do and with a centrifugal S/C that has boost linked to RPM it's very easy to fake it, but I wanted to do it right if possible.

    That is exactly how B4001 is to be used... ...by correctly setting B4001 no fudging/hacking/faking/jacking is required.

    The B4001 table in your file covers non-boost (range 400-480 kPa), for boost you would have to extend it down below 400 kPa (by 100 kPa per 1 bar of boost).

    So with 2-bar boost (requiring a 3-bar MAP sensor) you would need to define B4001 down to 200 kPa (208 kPa being the closest).

    Yes, you can make B1204 negative, this would help large injectors at idle.

    The problem I have is that when I log INJPDELTA_DMA it clamps at 400 kPa as soon as I get into boost. I have a 2 bar map sensor and arguably correct settings for it so I wonder if there is some other setting that needs to be configured to get it to go past the clamped 400 kPa.

    Can you locate some factory boosted tune files to look at and compare with, I'm curious about this...

    holdencrazy has a few stock CST-V files for E67 which is where it spawned this thought process. Since the OS is different I can't really get them to do a compare in EFILive. I haven't had the free time to do a manual compare.. Since the boosted kappa uses a different Bosch ECU there is no reliable comparison.

    Would someone be so kind as to post a log of INJPDELTA_DMA from a boosted E67 showing it go lower than 400kPa when it enters boost.
