Default SD mode = reduced engine power

On my 02 Z06 I wanted to do the autotune but I have the 5 wire MAF. So I searched around and found where you could leave the maf still in and just change it to make it fail. Well at wot my car out of no where will cut off and go into reduced power mode. Timing was 24-26 and my a/f was 12.8 when it happened with no KR. Do I have something set wrong?

You may need to increase all values in table C2911 "MAF Rationality Test".

SD mode the MAF doesn't come into play, you probably lit up 1514 code. Increase C6101, Predicted airflow. Worked for me.

I think if you raise it by 200 % it would be fine. For that matter I don't think there really is a said amount to raise it. Its a predicted airflow. I think if the PCM sees more air then is predicted it pops a 1514 reduced power situation.

Thanks I will try it. When the car went into reduced power I thought I blew my motor.

Like Howard (Redline) said, make it large while tuning.

Then later when you're dialled in, bring down to reasonable values based on logged airflow plus 25% or so; this will give you a safety factor.
