    Default Question on Hooking LC1 up on 02 Camaro

    I'm finally getting around to install the LC1 on my car. The tutorial shows to hook the yellow and ground to efi live, but this is for v1. Is it connected the same way on the v2? all i need is to put the yellow wire (analog 1 output) from the lc1 and also the ground wire, and then i put both into the orange connectors, and that goes into the 0-5 volt ports on the v2. Is this correct?

    I thought i read somewhere you could use the serial out of the lc1 instead and then plug the serial cable directly into the v2, is that correct? if so it would be much easier. Also what do i need to do on the v2 to get it reading a/f if i use the serial cable? I have programed lc1's before for the analog outputs, can you program the serial output on the lc1 as well?

    thanks for the help.

    Hi gpr,

    see post #3 here: serial-port-cable-that-goes-to-v2

    The serial comms provides AFR, Lambda and EQR as read from the LC-1... when you program the LC-1's stoich AFR then this will modify the serial comms AFR.

    The serial comms pids are: EXT.WO2AFR1, EXT.WO2LAM1, EXT.WO2EQR1, EXT.WO2ST1 (and EXT.WO2xxx2 if you daisy chain two LC-1's);

    those pids can be automatically enabled by configuring the V2 BBx Config.

    Be sure to plug in the blank terminator plug into the LC-1 SERIAL IN cable.

    Default LC-1 serial comms connection

    SERIAL IN <-- terminator plug

    SERIAL OUT --> null modem serial cable --> FlashScan V2

    The gender bender does not swap Rx/Tx... you want these swapped which is what the null modem adapter does (it must say "null modem" on it)...

    or you can buy cables from TAQuickness

    or you can make your own cable.
