  1. #1

    Default 06' Duramax w/LLY motor can I??

I have a customer with an 06' Duramax. It has the older (haha) LLY motor and not the new engine. It was an early version. Can I flash tunes into this PCM??

    Thanks

It does have the newer tranny in it though............

This has been discussed a lot on another forum for Diesels and they aren't planning on supporting the Bosch system.

The description for this Forum should probably not indicate 2006 models.

Yes, but for who knows how long?
I've seen GM do a one year swap like this before.

Lets hope so for our future will be quite grim if they don't.

So, not to jack a thread.....
I take it that inorder to tell an 05 LLY and an 06 LLY apart is the computer?
I have an 06 Chevy 3500 van (Quigley 4X4) with a detuned LLY (230 hp) for the van and 4L80E-HD tranny. The vehicle was built in late Nov 05. Now all was finished just a few weeks ago and then purchased....so it the mileage is still very low ...like 1000 mi...after all the testing certifications for the GM certified 4X4 system
And no luck finding an performance hardware....I was directed here.
