Default DTC Type A/B/C, MIL Yes/No

    Hello,

I'm buying EFILive this week! I've been playing around with the demo for a few weeks now and really like it!

    When removing the following items:

    AIR Pump
    Cats
    Rear 02's
    etc.

Am I correct in setting them all to DTC Type X "Not reported" or should I be setting them to Type C "Non Emissions"? I'm assuming set MIL should be "No" for all of them.

Why is it that somewhere I read about disabling the MAF for SD tuning that you shouldn't set the MAF DTC to Type X, but only Type C?

Please explain! I'm a bit confused as to what "Type X" really tells the computer?

For the rear o2's, egr and that stuff you need to set it to not reported. Fo rthe maf in order for the PCM to fall into SD mode you need to set it to fail on the 1st trip and set the MIL enabler to no mil. Setting the MAF to not reported doesnt alllow the PCM to test the state of the maf and fall into SD mode when its unplugged.
