Default Could not BBX Flash Change to OS 02030001

I have the latest builds (211 & 203) and firmware in my V2. My friends car is a 2003 Corvette running OS 02030001. I read out the tune and changed Long Term Fuel Trim from 'Disable' to 'Enable'. When I tried to BBX the tune back in, I got an error on the V2 about the OS 2030001 not compatible (or something like that). I don't have the car here. This is the first time I've tried to flash a COS and was wondering if I have to Full Flash the change or use the laptop instead of stand alone?

    Thanks.

After you try flashing in the 02030001 OS and you get the incompatible OS message, can you please save a trace file on the FlashScan device before powering it off?
To save a trace file, select F1 Scan Tool->F3 Scan Options->F1 Save Trace File.
Then using EFILive_Explorer, copy the saved trace file from the device to your PC and email it to me at paul@efilive.com

To answer your question, you should be able to just cal-flash BBF the COS file into the PCM since the PCM already has that same OS in it.

    Regards

I may not be able to get together with him for several days, but as soon as I can I will send you the Trace File.

    Thanks for the quick response.

I was able to try this again and everything worked okay. I don't know for sure but I suspect a flaky SD card slot might be the problem. The least bit of movement causes the file system to go from 'SDH' to 'MEM' and back. It seems to be getting worse. I've tried two different SD card with the same results. Is there anyplace in the USA where I can get this fixed or do I have to ship it back to EFILive?

Try putting some scotch tape on top of the actual SD card, my original black V2 had this problem but my new blue V2 doesnt (with the same SD card, and yes I removed the tape!).

I have a PNY 2GB SD card and a PNY 4GB SDHC card that I just purchased to see if the problem was with the 2GB card. They both act the same. Is there a different SD card that is thicker or works better?

If you go across to our helpdesk system (http://support.efilive.com/) and log a new RMA case I can send you the details of the repair center in the USA.
