    2010 Chevrolet Silverado Truck Automatic LC9 5.3 Litre APACHE_0000.tun

These changes should start it, but it depends on how you harness was wired.

Does the vATS doesnt need to be disabled? this car does not has the Body control module.. its a stand alone aplication..... or the only thing needed is the VATS PATCH that is already applied??

how about the transmission? on this tune the trans type is: 6L80E,, and the TCM in the car is for a 4L65E trans? what i need to do here?? And what happen if i do a full OS, tune, reflash with a TECH2 from 2010 to 08 TUNE, OS?? i will be able to tune if the ecm was licensed?

What I changed is how I start engine conversions. You have alot of stuff going with mix matched ecm and tcm. To run a 4l65e with a E38 ecm you will need a 2007 E38 ecm and a 2007 T42 tcm. You will have to look at the compatibility list to see if you can flash your 2010 ecm to a 2007, I highly doubt it. Who did the standalone harness? They should have set you up with matching ecm and tcm, it would have saved you alot of time and trouble.

I see.. The harnes is setup for E38 and T42...

I already got those ECMS, thats why i tried to use those. I have a TECH2, im going to check if i can reflash the ecm tcm to 07 then.. But if i do the full flash with TECH2 what happen with the license??

EFI License's the actuall ECM and TCM it doesnt matter what you flash into them it will always be licensed. Of course if you brick the ecm or tcm and have to buy another one then you would have to license the new one.

This is the currently tune on the ECM:
If this swap is a mix and match of model years - it has the potential to be a real mess. The 4L65 is the same for 2007 & 2008 model years. In 2009 the 4L65 was changed - the previously external gear position switch was moved inside the transmission, the internal electronics were also changed, and the transmission connector plug was altered to work with this new configuration.

The ECM tune you posted is from a 2010 5.3L originally mated with an A6 (6L80) - it won't play nice with an A4 (4L65).

What year is the engine ?

What year is the transmission ?

What model year 4L65 was the wiring harness made to work with ?

Depending on the answers to these questions, the solution may be tune related - or may require a hard parts change, and also tune changes.

FWIW - the only 2010 combinations that I could see that had a 4 speed auto listed were the Van (4.8 with 4L80E - not the same as the 4L65E), Impala SS (5.3 with 4T65E not quite the same transmission) and the Colorado (5.3 with 4L60E). As others have said, the mixing and matching opens up LOTS of headaches.

The 4L65 is still in use (as of the 2012 model year) in the 1500 series Sierra / Silverado trucks equipped with the 4.8 L engine.

    Taz,

Thanks for making sure we were all on the right track. I didn't scroll up high enough in my Gen IV list to see that the Silverado's still had the 4 speed with the 4.8L. Main thing I was trying to do was show that there might be alternatives to using the Silverado tune to get a "matched" V8 and 4 speed tranny.
