Default 2013 gmc computer flash history

    Hello everyone.
I have just purchased a 2013 gmc sierra with the 5.3l flex. I want to tune this pcm but am not sure if it leaves a history of flashes like the duramaxes do. I do not want any warranty issues if i tune it and flash it back when it goes to the dealer. If anyone knows this it would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Brandon

I think this would still be an E38. The answer is yes the ECM can log changes to the tune as it detects new checksums, but, I've never seen in the TechII menu where this can be retrieved for this ECM.
Certainly on the 2500HD models (using the E78) ECM, every flash is logged and can be read by the dealer.

It is probly my best bet to leave it be i guess. Was hoping to get rid of that pesky speed limiter. Ill probly leave it alone for now make sure its not a warranty pig, maybe tune it later down the road unless they wouldnt bother checking? what do you think?
Thanks for the quick reply GMPX

I was thinking of this too, I just bought a 13 for my wife, the 6spd auto trans and the poor throttle response from the dbw is driving me insane! I don't want to f*** with the warranty if they can read that ever, otherwise I would do it in a heartbeat! sorry to bring up an old thread, just curious what you guys found out about this.

IMO you have to pay to play. Only way to keep warranty 100% is to just leave the ecm alone. The way dealers are now they'll try anything to void warranties.

yep, comnrailpwr, your right! I've allready done a dropped suspension and some 22"s so I'm pretty much f***d allready, so I might as well dive in there!

Yup I would. They'll blame any failure on the suspension. Funny thing is properly tuned with efilive it'll actually be more reliable and run way better.
