Here's the document Paul mentioned, read it carefully before proceeding: Upgrading FlashScan.pdf

You only have to upgrade your V2 firmware from one PC only (not 10).

Read the document and do exactly what Paul said:

If you attempt a boot block upgrade when the firmware is V2.04.70 (like yours is now) or V2.04.71 then chances are the V2 will become unresponsive and you'll need to return it to EFILive to be reset.

The document explains the steps you need to take in more detail, please follow it carefully.
    ...

This will give you E78 ability.

The firmware update is a matter of minutes. They (EFILIVE) have even put in features in the help tab on v7 and v8 to check for updates. If you aren't running updates, you will not have the cal files for late model products.

This is not in any shape or form a fault of efilive, they are expanding support and making our end product better. To accomplish this, they must implement updates to allow us to move forward.

Follow the update instructions and you'll be just fine.

I also tune stuff from all over the nation and I couldn't do it without these important updates.

Once you install V7 build 211 and V8 build 203, the Check Updates feature works...

and once you get your firmware and bootblock current (carefully read the document, takes less than 5-10 minutes to perform), V8 will also update those in the future.

To use EFILive on any PC, just install V7 b211 and V8 b203 and you're ready to go (once V2 firmware was updated and BBx configured).

The software may be updating (the update feature was recently enabled)...

but the firmware could not be updated until the bootblock was upgraded (see doc mentioned above).
