    Default New To efi live, having trouble getting started.

    I'm having trouble gettings started. won't allow me to open .tun file from diesel place. ive read/viewed all tutorials on efi's website. It would be great if i could get walk through on basic startup from the beginning. Total noob here

    Are you sure its a .tun file on there and not a .hpt? Regardless, download your original tune from your own truck, save atleast one back up under a back up folder name and start exploring

    That's what ive been doing lol. starting to get the hang of it. still confused on converting a standard file to a dsp5 but i'm working on it. i ended up downloading the v7.5 and it seemed easier to navigate

    You have to convert the file under the OS tab and save it, close it and re-open it.

    When you say "open" a .tun file, do you mean to view it's contents/tables...?

    If so then you have to use the V7 tunetool.
