2012 Vette 6l80 tune in older trans for faster tap up tap down and rev matching

I would like to restart this thread. Has anyone attempted this upgrade yet with a new T43 TCM and tune in an older car like my 06 Vette? Also does anyone have an A6 tune from 12 or 13 Corvette I can't find one on the tune file depot. If anyone has any information about how or why this might or might not work I would be willing to be a guinea pig. I have read in a couple of places that this just might work but not one has attempted it yet that I know of.

the newer TCM tune you can use and that maybe can work is a 2011 tune, 2012 and up will not work with 07-08 E38, well at least i have tried with 07 and 08 E38, and 2011 will work, 2012 up wont,

I have a 2008 tune in it now, did GM make many changes to improve things in 2011 over 2008. On thing I would like to have is no downshifting into 1st while in drive. My car has low gears, big cam and built transmission and the 2-1 downshift is never fun. Also is there anyway to delay the rev matching to match the shift. My car revs and then shifts a bit later. Making the rev matching rev higher would be cool too.

400ss, Wacker is my tuner and he posted up on his forum looking for a tune for a 2011. So far nothing yet so if anyone out there has a tune for a 2011 Corvette it would be most helpful. Also what happens when you try a 2012 tune does it screw up the TCM or does it just not shift or what are the symptoms and did you try a full flash?

With Tech2 it will complete the tune and then it will restart and again and again and it will never finish,, then you have to reflash the correct year tune on it to fix the TCM if you are lucky... when i need a tune file i dont have, go to Ebay, search for a A6 corvette, on the descrition there is the VIN number, you can flash with tech2 that VIN on your TCM and changue the VIN to the same on your car

Hmm, I have put a few different tunes in my 06 but never had to go though that. They were tunes I got form the Tune File Depot but I just use EFI live not the Tech 2.
