    Default OBD Cables

I purchase a 90* OBD cable for convenance, but apparently I bought the wrong one because the V2 doesn't power up. The ports fit into the OBD port and V2 port, but apparently the wiring is wrong. Could somebody please point me in the right direction? Thanks. The cable was a J1962M RA to RJ45 http://www.obd2cables.com/products/o...angaugeii.html

Well, hopefully you haven't damaged your V2, the OBD-II cable for the scan gauge isn't the same pin out as the V2's.

Thanks Thurmon. I was trying to keep from buying a 'extension' to keep unwanted excess wire, but I guess the first one you listed is the one I'm gonna have to settle with and just tuck it all out of the way. The second one you listed is the one I tried and doesn't work.

Ross, I've standalone flashed and pass thru data logged with no problem with EFI's cable after trying the wrong one. With the wrong cable, the V2 didn't even power up, so I guess which ever pin supplies power isn't configured on it. Good thing sounds like in my case.
