Default TCC slips at light throttle

scenario: i'll be cruising at with the TC locked, and i'll feather the throttle to speed up a little. the converter will slip at light throttle but tighten up with more throttle.

ive tweaked the TCC settings for a long time with no restults. i'm using a fresh TCI 3500. i had the same issue with my old TCI 4500.

EDIT: it doesnt disengage completely unless it's supposed to. i disabled the misfire diag years ago.

Look at the TCC max/min pressure tables...

raise up the TCC min pressure table, but make sure to keep the TCC max pressure table above the TCC min pressure table.

Also, check that TRQENG and TFMPRS are not dropping low when this happens.

Do you have any logs showing these pids:
    - TRQENG
    - TFMPRS
    - GEAR
    - TCCMODE
    - TCCPWM
    - TCCSLIP
    - RPM
    - TP
    - VSS
    - ECT
    - MAP
    - MAF

Also check the TSTATE00-12 pids... in among these are bit flags indicating various reasons for TCC release, check them (just in case).

Keep pid channel count to 24 or less (we want fastest sample rate so to not miss anything).
